    I am an athletic person that is always on the go, so when I got severe neck pain, it just didn’t fit into my schedule. The pain got to the point that I couldn’t move my head without getting a sharp pain and I couldn’t sleep on it. I prayed for help and I saw an ad for Atkinson Family Chiropractic in the newspaper, which I rarely read. I decided to see what they could do for me. I have also had heartburn every day for 6 years. I went to a specialist who prescribed medication for acid reflux without performing any tests. It was so bad that if I didn’t take my pill every morning, I could tell by lunchtime.
    I was treated with excellence by the staff. Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori are very personal and they seem to genuinely care. My neck pain got bearable within a week and within 3 weeks it was gone. The best part, though, is that my heartburn is not as frequent! I have only taken my heartburn pills 2 times in the past 3 weeks and I haven’t had severe heartburn. 
    I would definitely recommend Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori to you for all of your healthcare needs. They are not just for back pain and neck pain - they helped my body take care of my heartburn! The only thing I didn't like  is only having 5 minutes in the Relaxation Room chairs.

    My lower back had given me major problems for years. I had numbness down my left leg and into my toes. I had a cortisone injection that didn’t help at all and I also had surgery on my lower back. The surgery helped with the numbness in the toes, but didn’t get rid of the back pain or the numbness in the leg. About 8 months ago, I couldn’t move my left arm at all and I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. I went through physical therapy for 3 months on my shoulder, but I wasn’t able to move my arm without pain. I also couldn’t lift my arm higher than 90 degrees and I couldn’t lift it over my head or behind my back.
    My neighbor, Pat, encouraged me to come to Atkinson Family Chiropractic, so I decided to see if they could help me. I was treated very well. I felt like they really cared and I wasn’t just a number on the wall. Dr. Devin would always check how I was doing. Within the first 2 weeks, the numbness was already better! In less than 3 weeks, I was able to walk around for over 3 hours without any numbness. My shoulder also started doing better from the beginning of care. I am to the point where I can lift my arm over my head without any pain and I can even reach behind my back!
    I like everything about my care. I especially liked that every time I left, I felt better. Right now I feel like I did before all of my back and arm problems started. I know I still have a way to go but I would say that I’m at about 99%. I would recommend Dr. Devin to my family, my friends, or anyone I meet that needs help.

    My mom and dad brought me to Atkinson Family Chiropractic because I have had breathing problems since I was born. I was the second twin born on February 19, 2005. My brother, Zachery, was born about 30 minutes before me. I’ve had chest problems, trouble breathing, sinus problems, allergies, and wheezing in my 2+ years on earth. I’ve been on antibiotics, breathing treatments, asthma medications, steroids, and I’ve been to the ER because my oxygen levels have dropped.
    I’ve been treated very well by Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori. I really like when Dr. Devin makes me fly! My mom and dad like that my breathing gets better after an adjustment and that I am using a lot fewer breathing treatments since coming in for care.
    My parents and I would highly recommend taking your children to Atkinson Family Chiropractic, especially if they have problems with breathing. They’re really good with kids.

    I came to Atkinson Family Chiropractic for a number of problems that I was having. I had pain in my calves, behind my right knee, in my neck radiating down my shoulders, and in my low back. I also had pain in my ribs, in my foot, and in my knees. On top of all of that, I had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Restless Leg Syndrome, and degenerative arthritis. The pain in my leg had gotten so bad over the last year that I could hardly walk or sleep and I thought I was going to be an invalid. I have had the neck pain since I was 10 years old after falling off of a high porch and landing on the back of my neck. The Carpal Tunnel had been giving me trouble since the mid-90’s and my ribs have been hurting since I had surgery in 2000 to remove my gall bladder. My medical doctor put me on anti-inflammatory medication for arthritis, Klonopin for Restless Leg Syndrome, and pain medicine.
    I was treated exceptionally well by the staff. Everyone is very professional and courteous. Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori are most helpful in answering your questions and concerns! They are honest and sincerely want to help me – they are Christians and this is important to me.
    My health is improving and I have a different outlook on my life. I no longer feel like an invalid! I feel that I have hope for a productive life and will enjoy very soon retirement with my husband. I look forward to our long walks together, where before, I could not see walking hardly at all without constant pain. I am using less and less of my pain medication and my Restless Leg & Carpal Tunnel Syndromes are gone. Best of all, the pain in my calves is almost gone. I can’t express how thankful I am to have relief after all these years of being in pain and feeling helpless. Thank you to Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori for listening to God’s calling for your vocation and, most of all, thanks for my son Ted for caring and loving me enough to tell me that Dr. Devin could help me.

    I got pregnant in September of 2006. It’s my first pregnancy, so I was both excited and scared. Dr. Devin had been my chiropractor for about a month when I got pregnant, so my husband, Andy, and I talked to him about any changes to the adjustments that may be necessary during my pregnancy and about what I could expect. Dr. Devin told us that he was nearly finished with his certification in the care of pregnant women and pediatrics. We trusted him, so we let him do what was necessary.
    My pregnancy went relatively well. I had some of the usual pregnancy aches and pains, but they never got horrible. Dr. Devin adjusted me about 1x per week because the hormones and the extra weight of the baby were putting new stresses on my body that my body needed to be realigned to. Dr. Devin also told me that women that give birth after regular chiropractic care with their first baby are in labor 33% less time than women that have never had chiropractic care and also have 33% less pain. Andy and I listened, but we were still skeptical.
    I went into labor on June 7, 2007 in the early morning. At about 11:30AM, the doctors had me start pushing and at 12:05PM, Whitley was born. One thing we both thought after she was born was how much easier it was than we thought it was going to be! Dr. Devin came by that night and gave Whitley her first adjustment and we’ve all been doing well ever since.

    I had had 2-3 migraines per week for the past 2 years before coming to see Dr. Devin. My mom and dad brought me to many different specialists over those years and I would get few, if any, positive results. The migraines were about a 7-8/10 in intensity nearly every time, occasionally getting up to 10/10. I would have to go into a dark room (sometimes my closet) and take medicine – which didn’t always get rid of the migraine. It got so bad that I would have to vomit, which would make it feel better. I have been on many different medications for the migraines, but they never stopped them. I also would get facial ticks that were unexplained by the medical doctors.
    My mom really liked Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori’s ability to work with children because of the extensive training in pediatrics that they have received. My whole family like how they would explain everything that they were doing in layman’s language so that we would be able to understand. My migraines went down to one per week shortly after starting care and at one point; I went 2 weeks without a single migraine!
    Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori are awesome! They not only worked with my spine, but they referred me to an optometrist to find out if there was a possible connection with my eyes. Since getting my adjustments and my glasses, I’ve gone over 2 weeks without a migraine! I haven’t had any facial ticks in over 2 months! This stuff really works! My family would highly recommend Dr. Devin & Dr. Lori to your entire family.
